2. Role

We are looking for an experienced and mission-driven Lead Clinician to support and elevate our clinical team. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering clinical excellence, leading a team of providers with a strong team culture and sense of accountability, and serving as the primary liaison between our provider team and the broader organization to ensure seamless communication and collaboration all while setting the example of being a best-in-class provider for our users. You’ll offer clinical guidance, help set clear expectations, and ensure smooth communication across teams. You’ll also play a key role in building a strong, supportive team culture—coaching providers, encouraging growth, and ensuring everyone is set up for success. The ideal candidate brings clinical expertise, strong entrepreneurial leadership instincts, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.

3. Manager

You will report to our VP of Operations, Rob Scott, who oversees Clinical Operations, Customer Operations and Pharmacy Operations. .

4. Responsibilities

  • Clinical Excellence
    • Lead by example by caring for Twentyeight Health users as a way to stay close to our users and offerings and to better assist other providers in improving their quality of care. 
    • Develop clinical protocols, guidelines, and workflows—and lead the process of getting provider input and buy-in.
    • Lead provider onboarding, ensuring clinical and operational readiness, and coordinating ongoing education and training.
  • Team Leadership
    • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment where clinicians feel supported, heard, and connected to our mission.
    • Establish, communicate, and uphold clear expectations for provider roles, responsibilities, and performance.
    • Serve as the clinical team’s primary point of contact for day-to-day questions, escalations, and operational concerns.
    • Identify and flag licensing or credentialing needs proactively in partnership with the operations team.
  • Cross-collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with Medical Advisor, VP of Operations, and other stakeholders to align clinical operations with business objectives.
    • Represent the provider voice in cross-functional conversations, surfacing insights and opportunities from the frontline to shape organizational priorities.
    • Cascade key updates and initiatives from leadership to the provider team in an aligned, consistent, and timely manner.
    • Partner across the organization to address provider performance issues or gaps—driving toward resolution with clarity and empathy.

5. Requirements

We are looking for exceptional candidates who have:

  • MD or DO degree with at least one active state medical license. 
  • 5+ years of clinical experience, preferably in a virtual care or multi-state provider model
  • Proven ability to develop and implement clinical guidelines and quality improvement initiatives
  • Prior leadership or team management experience in a clinical or operational capacity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and support diverse clinical teams
  • Comfort with fast-paced, evolving environments and an ability to balance structure with flexibility
